I'm having download issues. What can I do? - Nexus Mods Site Help
It's not about the money. I could be a billionaire and still think this is going to be terrible for the community with the next Bethesda releases (Starfield, TES6). Can't wait until a mod costs more than the game/Official DLC. I say this also as a mod maker with lots of downloads on the nexus. To the creators who still believe in the old ways The problem When downloading from nexus a file that is already present in the download folder MO2 will show a messagebox asking if the user want to download it again with a different name (add 1_, 2_, at the beginning of the name) or 20/11/ · Since updating to the latest RC8 I have noticed that clicking Download with Manager on the Nexus is causing MO to attempt to download every file twice. Mod organizer not downloading from nexus 2018
Asked by DanielCoffey. Since updating to the latest 1. This, of course, gives errors when the duplicate download has finished and attempts to tidy up but finds the first download task has already done this. Is there anything I should do to preserve my load order but reset MO so that it just attempts to get files once?
Yeah, I'm guessing that Tannin or someone more informed on the downloader for MO is going to have to chime in. Outside of the nxmhandler I wouldn't know what is going on. MO still attempted to download a test file from the Nexus twice. So the registry key is okay. The nxmhandlers. ini is okay. At this point I don't know what could be wrong and suggest you file a bug report. Before I do that, I'll do a clean install after backing up my existing mods and profiles. If it is still present, then I'll file a report.
Out of interest and as an aside, do you know why the Nexus exclude the Mod Organizer mod from their Search results? Entering "Mod Organizer" does not find the mod itself you just see the Beginners Guide but it is present on the Nexus if you use Google to locate it. I can't see how that is going to help you, as everything, that I know of, that controls the downloading mechanism of Mod Organizer is intact, mod organizer not downloading from nexus 2018.
If you still want to wipe it out, I suggest you keep the mods, downloads, and profiles folders. That way you can move those into your new Mod Organizer install without losing your installed mods, downloaded files for mods, or profiles, which includes your load orders, etc, mod organizer not downloading from nexus 2018. function exists for IE. Worth checking if it does exist. I've noticed this myself today as well. I have a specific setup using sandboxie which forces me start to start IE for the downloading of mods.
I've downloaded all mods with a PRE MO 1. Today I downloaded Convenient horses for testing with IE and indeed it got downloaded twice. After that tried it with Chrome and it got downloaded once. Have also downloaded it with FireFox and it also got downloaded once. Like I said I did not have this problem in the past with older MO versions.
Have a MO 1. With 1. In MO 1. When I downloaded the file with 'download with manager' I noticed that IE asked me TWICE to login. After the first login I saw that it appeared in the download section. Hence it was downloading twice!!! But in the past did not happen. I remember noticing that I was using IE Did a check and it was released for W7 around the 31th of October. I must have it installed during a windows update.
Summary: I can reproduce your issue with IE IE 11 somehow seems the culprit. It also happen with MO 1. It did NOT happen with an older version of IE downloaded hundreds of mods with MO and IE back then. Note: Normally MO informs you if you try to download a file which you already have downloaded. It compares the filenames for that. This does not work in this case. File filex. unfinished is created in the downloads directory of MOfilex.
unfinished is completey downloaded, filex. unfinished is renamed to filex. MO can't check the filename because it currently has an. unfinished extension. I think it is likely that it started when IE 11 was dropped on us which was about the time that MO 1. I will investigate the settings in IE 11 to see if anything jumps out at me, mod organizer not downloading from nexus 2018.
Sorry to jump in the convo and OT a little, but why would even want to use IE? It's the most crappy browser I've ever seen! You are correct, it is a suboptimal browser. I use it for my specific setup. I use sandboxIE which means my browsers run in a secure 'sandbox'. Programs started by a browser also run in this sandbox.
Ie clicking download with manager start MO in a sandbox mod organizer not downloading from nexus 2018 from the normal MO. I lookup files in firefox then copy the url in a NON sandboxed version of IE and then let MO download the files. Works like a charm. I can totally recommend sandboxIE, so much safer.
